Introduction

In order to apply for the FY 2018 Early Childhood Special Education Entitlement Grant, please read the Grant Application posted on EEC Website http://www.mass.gov/eec.

The suggested due date for the FY 2018 is August 28, 2017 by 3 PM.

Grant Applications will be accepted as a rolling submission and will be reviewed and approved in the order in which the complete grant application is received. Grant Applications received both online and hard copies at EEC by August 28, 2017 at 3 PM will have a start date of September 1, 2017. Grant Applications received after August 28, 2017 will have a start date of the final Department approval.

Grant Applications are considered complete upon EEC receipt of the online submitted portion AND the mailed hard copy signed by the Authorized Signatory. You must click both the SUBMIT and PRINT SUMMARY buttons to get the PDF. The PDF with the submission date and time displayed at the top of each page must be submitted as a hard copy as part of the Grant Application.

Note: Applications submitted or approved after September 1, 2017 can legally claim expenses to the grant only from the date of final Department approval. Therefore, it is important to have district contact staff who can be reached during the summer to respond to questions, as needed.

As a reminder:

• Applicants may complete a portion of the Online Application and finish entering their information at a later date/time until the close of the Grant Application. Applicants will also be able to print information entered into this system for their own records as a PDF.
• Throughout the Grant Application process, Grant Applicants are responsible for visiting the EEC Website at https://www.mass.gov/orgs/department-of-early-education-and-care to obtain updates and information about this Grant Application.
