Information on the Request for Response
The Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) is pleased to re-open the following Request for Responses (RFR) for contracts that provide child care financial assistance
to income-eligible families throughout the state. EEC is re-opening this bid to provide contract slots in Athol, Orange, Northampton, Westfield, Framingham, Blechertown, and Waltham.

EEC currently serves more than 14,000 children across the state through contracts that provide access
to financial assistance to help families pay for early education and care services at participating
This RFR is being re-opened for center-based and out-of-school-time slots in Athol, Orange, Northampton,
Westfield, Framingham Belchertown, and Waltham only. Interested bidders will have until August 13, 2009 to submit RFR
On-Line RFR Questionnaire & Bidder Registration
To begin the on-line RFR questionnaire, you must first identify your organization and indicate that you
are interested in submitting a RFR response. If you represent an agency that offers care through multiple
settings - e.g., group child care, school-age care and family child care systems - you will only need to
complete the questionnaire once. If you represent an agency that operates in more than one EEC region,
you will only need to complete the questionnaire once, but you must identify the program sites at which
you expect to serve children through contracts.
