Effective December 6, 2021, EEC-affiliated programs will no longer be required to submit Teacher Certificate Applications to the Teacher Qualifications (TQ) Unit for review and approval. The TQ Unit will stop processing “new” Teacher Certificate Applications received after December 3, 2021.

The TQ Unit will continue to provide technical assistance to program administrators who request support in understanding and implementing the Minimum Hiring Requirements for Educators Policy.
The TQ Unit will offer virtual office hours to support program administrators who may have questions on the Minimum Hiring Requirements for Educators Policy. These office hours will be hosted on Zoom on Tuesdays at 2:00pm and Thursdays at 10:00am beginning the week of December 6, 2021, and through December 20, 2021. Upon registering for the Office Hours, attendees will be asked to submit their questions in advance of the session. This will ensure TQ staff are prepared to answer questions and support resolution on hiring determinations at the program level.
