During COVID, EEC eliminated the process for Teacher Qualification application and verification of all teacher and director level certifications. The minimum hiring requirements went into effect to provide flexibility for Early Education programs looking to hire.
While the minimum hiring requirements will remain in effect, EEC will be bringing back optional certifications from the Teacher Qualification unit to support staff who have gone above and beyond those minimum expectations and met the regulatory requirements. We will open up optional certifications by type one at a time.
